G&L is a company that designs and manufactures bass guitars. G&L was founded in 1979 by Leo Fender and George Fullerton. The company's name comes from the first letters of their names (George & Leo). After selling his interest in the Fender company in 1965, Leo Fender began designing musical intruments for Music Man in the 1970s before founding G&L.

G&L bass guitars are similar to those made by Fender, but they tend to have more modern innovations. Leo Fender called G&L bass guitars "the best instruments I have ever made." Some famous G&L features include the dual-fulcrum vibrato (which improves tuning stability) and the saddle-lock bridge (which reduces sideways movement of the individual string saddles).

There are several models of bass guitars made by G&L. Here are some of the more common ones that you will encounter:
